A usable public record

Accessibility

The site is built with semantic HTML, keyboard access, visible focus, adaptable contrast, reduced-motion support, and content that remains available without JavaScript.

Current measures

  • Skip navigation and landmark regions.
  • Logical heading order and descriptive link text.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, theme control, and research filters.
  • No JavaScript-only critical facts.
  • Responsive layouts and scalable system fonts.
  • Visible focus indicators and reduced-motion support.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful local graphics.

Known limits

Attached PDFs may contain older formatting, weak tagging, or reading-order problems. The current website summarizes their role and provides an accessible HTML context layer, but the PDF manuscripts themselves may not meet modern document-accessibility standards.
